My family and me

My family and I are residents of the Hawthorne Hills neighborhood. Since high school, the majority of my hobbies have consisted of community service. In recent years, I have added to my long history of volunteer work by serving the City of Verona. My service to the City has been highly rewarding because I make a direct, positive impact on the community in which I live. Additionally, I have enjoyed the people that I have been serving with. After serving the City in appointed volunteer roles since 2007, I was sworn in as Alderman for District 4 in April, 2010.

Views and opinions

The best way to get a feel for my beliefs and opinions is to browse my blog, Hometown Hawk.

I feel that it is important for any government official - whether elected or appointed - to be as transparent as possible. Anybody who is involved in setting and/or implementing policy should be able to stand up to public scrutiny. I welcome readers to comment and/or send me a note for further information in any topic that I have written about, or to ask about topics that I have not yet covered.
